This unit allows the following connections:

1 x feed straight through, allowing a flash gun to mount to top of unit, ie on top of camera

2 x PC SYNC cord Female Plugs, allowing the flash trigger signal to be "daisy chained" to the next unit, ideal for use in a circular arrangement. This arrangement will require a "Male to Male" cable.

All connectors can be used simultaneously, giving a possible total of 2 flash units from one unit. You should be able to daisy chain many units, but it will depend on your equipment, and voltage drops across the equipment and cables.

Also includes a screw mount base which is also hotshoe sized, so this unit can be attached to a flash stand, umbrella mount or a standard tripod, or any hotshoe mount. Note that the bottom of this unit does not have a through connector, so the trigger signal MUST come from one of the two female PC cable entry points. For pass through trigger signal, you need the distribution head (see associated products)

WARNING

Please make sure that your flash equipment is cross compatible. For example, combining a flash gun with a trigger voltage of 120 volts with a similar gun of trigger voltage of 3 volts is most likely to cause damage. Typically there are two types of flash gun - high trigger voltage (older guns) and low trigger voltage (typically new flash guns). You can measure trigger voltage with a simple multimeter.

If you are using this adaptor for just one remote gun, or up to 4 identical guns, then compatibility will not be a problem.
